CDL Driver Class A

Job Summary:

Operates tractor/trailer daily; supervises job daily; loads and unloads household goods shipments up to 20,000 lbs. daily; packs shipments; inventories shipments. Maintains a good safety and claims record; meets company standards for customer satisfaction; operates tractor/trailer in an efficient and profitable manner.

Strong work ethic and dedication to customer service to ensure customer satisfaction on every job. Quality service of utmost importance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for quality assurance and customer satisfaction on each job done.

Supervises crew of two to five men daily.

Loads/unloads shipments.

Packs and unpacks shipments.

Inventories shipments.

Completes all paperwork properly.

Must be able to lift and carry 50-100 lbs. alone; up to 400 lbs. in a team carry.

Must be able to carry furniture up and down stairs.

Loads truck for density and safety.

Works office moves.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Basic literacy and math skills; good communication skills. Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

Required Experience: Six months to 1 year Household Goods Experience.

License/Certification: Pass DOT physical and drug screening; Virginia State Class A CDL; clean driving record; must complete UVL Packer and Mover certification training.
