Job Description SummaryJoin the dynamic Business Operations team within Nationwide Retirement Solutions and be part of a forward-thinking organization that is taking the business to the next level.

As the Associate Vice President of Retirement Solutions Enablement, you will play a pivotal role in driving cross-functional and cross-business unit initiatives while leading a team of passionate professionals dedicated to supporting nearly 1,000 Sales & Service associates. You will lead all aspects of organizational change management, associate training, and enablement for the Retirement Solutions business. The team you lead will help to ensure our associates are more confident, productive and effective in driving the sales and service of Nationwide solutions. Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic long- and short-range plans, in support of the business strategy and sales goals, to enable Sales & Service associates to execute the financial and customer-centric objectives of the business.

Content creation & management: Lead the development and maintenance of high-quality training materials and information resources that allow associates to quickly access the information they need to position Nationwide solutions in sales and retention opportunities.

Initiative Development: Sponsor and lead key initiatives designed to bring Retirement Solutions business objectives to life through our Sales & Service teams.

Team Leadership: Lead a team of leaders responsible for the design, development, configuration, customization, deployment, and maintenance of enablement resources and deliverables.

Cross-business Communication: Build and maintain a communications infrastructure delivering relevant content to the right internal and external audiences at the right time through the right media.

Collaboration: Work effectively with your peers across all Retirement Solutions functions to ensure alignment, consistency, and efficiency. Manage relationships with leaders and partners to achieve RS business objectives.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Challenge the team to continuously innovate on methods and deliverables. Have a pulse on trends across the Enablement discipline outside of Nationwide and determine which approaches are worthy of incorporating here.

Data & Analytics: Use data to measure the impact of enablement activities and help the business make informed decisions on how to drive adoption of Nationwide solutions through sales and service activities. Implement mechanisms to measure associate readiness for change and progress toward change objectives.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Vice President

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Licenses & Certifications: FINRA Series 6 & 26 required within 120 days of hire.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in Retirement Solutions, Financial Services, or a related industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Some leadership experience in enablement, training, or parallel discipline.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills; proficiency in project management and data analysis. Proficiency in developing and leading initiatives around organizational change management, training, and associate enablement. In-depth knowledge of Retirement Solutions business and industry preferred. Visionary, innovative, and results-driven; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and often ambiguous environment.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and Human Resource Business Partner.
