Overview

The Greensboro Complex Associate Box Office Manager is a management level position in the ticket office operation that will manage the complex nature of computerized ticketing by programming and building events within Ticketmaster Host and Archtics or other computer programs the Greensboro Complex may use to sell tickets. The position will build General Admission (GA) events including consumer shows and youth sports as well as reserved seated events including sporting events, concerts, family shows and other unique ticketed events in Greensboro Complex Events.This position will oversee various aspects of the box office operation including oversight of a 30+ part-time staff. This person, as assigned by the Box Office Manager, will provide specific computer skills to build complicated ticketed events that are unique to the venue, hold appropriate seats, build price level qualifiers, email discount codes, CAD files of events and interact with promoters to staff and settle assigned events.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $29.50.

Responsibilities

Builds and manages ticket sales for single and season events such as concerts, family shows, sporting events, arts events and many others.

Works with outside contractors/promoters to create revenue scenarios for upcoming events.

Utilizes Ticketmaster's EMT, Scaling, and Inventory programs to scale and build events simultaneously.

Incorporate all necessary event information such as pricing, discount codes for sold/price altering qualifiers, service charge grids, external reporting capabilities, programming of premium ticket programs such as Platinum and VIP.

Builds event in Archtics in addition to EMT, syncing event on both systems.

Works with internal and external production personnel to ensure chair set, sightlines and other production issues are accounted for.

Place all holds for events, including artist, promoter, media, etc. in addition to presale inventory allocations.

Works with promoter throughout the event life to add discount codes, adjust scaling and ticket prices as sales warrant.

Communicates necessary information to other dept. heads as it relates to event set-up, staffing levels and other nuances the event may have.

Works with promoter and other dept. heads to ensure ticketing and event set-up are correct day of show.

Ensures all events are loaded into Access Manager and any necessary rules are in place for patron entry into Complex.

Problem solves as set- up changes or patrons need to be moved day of show to solve seating and other issues.

Provides box office settlement to Finance Manager and promoter night of show.

Assists with day-to-day operation of the Box Office.

Perform other work-related tasks as assigned by the Box Office Manager or General Manager. Qualifications

BA degree is strongly recommended however 5 years of event and/or ticketing industry experience is viewed equivalently.

3 years knowledge of ticketing systems including industry trends and new products/services in the market place.

Ability to communicate effectively with promoters and internal staff.

Knowledge of ADA laws and updates as it applies to all venues at the Complex.

Knowledge of cash, banking and vault procedures.

Knowledge of personnel procedures as they apply to hiring, discipline and termination of staff.

Ability to multi-task.

Ability to priortize tasks, lead team members and delegate duties to ensure task completion.

Previous responsibility in training and supervising others is desired.

Excellent computer, including all Microsoft Office components is essential.

Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended numbers of days based upon event calendar.

Superior customer service skills including but not limited to thoughtful listening, oral and written communication skills.

Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) either manually or through the use of a calculator.

Ability to read and make inferences from written sales materials.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, graphic design, PowerPoint and Internet software.

Demonstrated knowledge and use of ticketing software and terminology.
