About the Role

The Global Procurement & Contracts Specialist is an integral part of Latham’s Global Finance team. This role will be responsible for administering contracts and procuring goods and services on behalf of the organization within the guidelines and procedures established by the firm and the Global Procurement Department, while monitoring all phases of the contract life cycle and contacting involved parties as appropriate. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

Overseeing the submission of new contracts into the Contracts database, tracking progress and expiration of contracts, administering contract execution, preparing reports to minimize delays, and following up with parties to ensure required contract documents are submitted and signed in a timely manner

Assisting with the sourcing process, including RFx preparation, vendor communication, and bid analysis

Analyzing data, providing reports, and maintaining records of various activities for Global Procurement and Contracts Review Teams

Handling routine correspondence with vendors and internal clients

Contributing to cost-savings initiatives and process improvement projects

Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We’d love to hear from you if you:

Possess knowledge of basic sourcing and procurement principles, contract terminology, and vendor management practices

Demonstrate strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting

And have:

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent; a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in procurement, contract administration, or related business function, preferably

USD $70,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
