Job Title: Software Engineer – Security & Surveillance Systems

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and technically Skilled Software Engineer to become our in-house expert on a suite of security, surveillance, and system monitoring software platforms. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation, integration, and optimization of video surveillance systems, AI-driven monitoring tools, and cloud-based network management platforms.
The ideal candidate will take full ownership of these platforms—learning their functionalities, managing system configurations, troubleshooting issues, training staff, and working closely with internal teams and external vendors to maintain system performance and ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Software Mastery & Technical Support
Develop deep expertise in the following platforms:
Surveillance Management System (e.g., HIK Central): Manage and troubleshoot issues related to video quality, storage, and connectivity. Regularly update software, perform diagnostics, and adjust configurations for peak performance.
Cloud-Based Network Management: Remotely manage network devices using tools that support bulk configuration, live monitoring, and reporting.
AI-Driven Surveillance Monitoring: Utilize AI tools for proactive monitoring of camera health (e.g., alignment, obstruction detection, focus issues), and generate automated alerts and maintenance reports.
Provide technical assistance and prompt issue resolution to minimize downtime and disruption.
Collaborate with departments to ensure software configurations meet business needs and security standards.
Software Implementation & Optimization
Lead the integration of new software features and tools with minimal disruption to operations.
Analyze software performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, compatibility, and user satisfaction.
Work with third-party vendors or manufacturers for advanced technical support, updates, and system upgrades.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain comprehensive records of system configurations, resolutions, maintenance, and software updates.
Prepare detailed reports on software usage, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
Develop and deliver in-house training sessions and workshops for staff.
Create user-friendly manuals, how-to guides, FAQs, and internal documentation to promote best practices in software use.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Technical Requirements:
Hands-on experience with HIK Vision and HIK Central platforms.
Familiarity with CCTV systems, video surveillance, and security technologies.
Basic understanding of networking principles, IP devices, and remote device management.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
