Our client, a leading property management company, is seeking an experienced Regional Maintenance Director to oversee maintenance operations across a multi-property portfolio. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this leadership role provides strategic direction for maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance. This position will be based in the Atlanta area, with 50–75% travel, primarily throughout the Southeast. Please do not apply if you are unable to meet the travel requirements.
Overview
The Regional Maintenance Director provides leadership, direction, and guidance to the assigned portfolio as it pertains to short- and long-term maintenance, safety, and environmental activities. The role works closely with Directors of Operations, the Senior Director of Maintenance & Facilities, and Environmental and Safety leadership to achieve operational and financial goals. Acting as a key advisor to the VP of Operations, this position supports both site-level and corporate teams in implementing compliance strategies and operational best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise the VP of Operations on all maintenance matters within the portfolio.
Monitor and improve maintenance programs and operational KPIs.
Oversee short- and long-term sustainment planning, vendor management, and CRR projects.
Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory agencies.
Mentor Maintenance Directors and provide onboarding, training, and performance support.
Partner with Environmental and Safety teams to guide policy and response.
Lead disaster response efforts and post-incident restoration.
Drive QA/QC inspections and budget compliance for CRR projects.
Represent company leadership with external stakeholders and military partners.
Conduct interviews for key maintenance roles and advise on performance reviews.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Business, Engineering, or Construction Management.
4–6 years of facilities management in multi-family housing.
Strong knowledge of building trades and maintenance operations.
Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
Proficiency in MS Office and Yardi (preferred).
Valid driver’s license required; frequent travel involved.
