We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.

Immediate opening has come up for a great well established outpatient Neurology practice based in Plano, TX for a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant . It is a full time position with excellent benefit package. Work hours are from Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.

Job duties : Under the guidance of the neurologist, provide medical care and treatment to patients. Perform physical exams, document patient history, order labs, required diagnostic tests, appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribe appropriate interventions and medications, and contribute to excellent patient care. We are looking for candidate who is motivated, hardworking with ability to work independently under the physician's guidance. The candidate should have great written and oral communication skills and ability to multitask. The job involves providing predominantly office based care with some after hour phone calls and coverage.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses

Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments

Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients

Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures

Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications:

Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields

Ability to build rapport with patients

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong leadership qualities
