Job Description

A group of small businesses located in Carlisle, OH is seeking a degreed accountant with 7+ years of experience. The primary company is a distributor of foundation waterproofing products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the books, through financial statements, for multiple small businesses and performing HR functions for the companies. We are looking for an experienced accountant that can work independently. This position can be fun & challenging for the right person.

Skills Required/Highlights of the Position/Requirements:

Must have a complete and thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting.

Previous QuickBooks and Sage 100 experience is preferred.

Perform all HR functions as required.

Accurately and timely prepare bi-weekly payrolls.

Maintain employee personnel files.

Maintain multiple bank accounts, including deposits, disbursements and reconciliations.

Manage personnel responsible for accounts payable and and customer invoicing/collections.

Prepare weekly and monthly management reports for Owners.

Prepare and remit appropriate sales tax returns.

Prepare various financial analyses as requested.

Manage insurance renewals, health insurance renewals, workers comp, etc.

Perform month end close outs for all companies in a timely fashion.

Perform fiscal year end closings with our outside tax CPA.

Process year end 1099 forms and file with the appropriate federal and state agencies.

Interface with owner and other personnel to accurately post accounting entries to the GL.

Must have strong spreadsheet skills.
