Process Engineer for Land Development

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with the Indian River County Government, is seeking for a Project Engineer to review and process permits for site plans, subdivisions, and right-of-way construction projects. This professional role involves oversight of roadway and infrastructure construction projects under the general direction of the County Engineer.Process Engineer Job Summary:

Permit Review: Conduct high-level engineering reviews of land development plans and permit applications, ensuring compliance with standards and codes.

Guidance: Provide professional advice to developers and consultants on project development.

Staff Direction: Supervise engineering inspections for various projects and manage staff in the field.

Compliance Monitoring: Review construction plans for County Rights-of-Way and monitor site projects to ensure adherence to standards.

Public Interaction: Respond to public inquiries and complaints, providing technical information as needed.Process Engineer Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree: Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Experience: 5+ years in civil engineering-related work.

Current Professional Engineer registration in Florida.

Valid Florida driver’s license with a good driving record.

Desired certifications: FDOT Inspection, Construction Traffic Control, and NPDES training.

Knowledge of infrastructure project management and construction methods.

Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and prepare technical reports.
