Estimator

Job Description

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:00 pm

Pay Rate: $33.00-$40.00/hr

Location: San Jose, CA

Experience: 2-4 years of estimating experience in the construction industry

Estimator Job Duties include:

Communicating with clients, vendors, and team members to obtain necessary information for estimations.

Identifying potential risks and developing contingency plans to minimize impact on project costs.

Contributing to the creation of bids and proposals for new business.

Participating in project review meetings to address variations in estimates and learn from past projects.

Generating detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, and equipment.

Working closely with project managers and other departments to ensure project scope and requirements are aligned.

Other duties as assigned.

Estimator Preferred Skills include:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or related field

Being bilingual(English/Spanish) is a plus!

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Strong organizational and time management abilities

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Estimator Requirements may include:

Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Must provide 3 professional references

Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
