Job Purpose

This person is responsible for leading the implementation and advancement and continuous improvement of health and safety programs across all manufacturing plant locations. Reporting to the EHSQ & Sustainability Director, the Senior Safety Manager will play a key leadership role in ensuring regulatory compliance, driving a culture of safety excellence, and reducing risk across the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of Ring’s overall safety strategy using influential leadership to drive adoption and engagement across the organization.

Manage and partner with external consultants for safety initiatives.

Coordinate, plan, and participate in conducting safety risk assessments at all plant locations (every 2 years) utilizing third party consultants.

Design, implement, and standardize safety programs (e.g., hazard identification, incident prevention, behavior-based safety) with strong stakeholder engagement across all sites.

Analyze safety performance metrics and incident data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.

Provide guidance and support on safety-related audits, OSHA inspections, and other regulatory needs.

Support and guide the facility managers and safety leaders in their safety efforts.

Partner with plants to review accidents and injuries to determine the root cause and give direction on improvement.

Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems and reports out findings of trends with recommended solutions.

Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.

Experience and Educational Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in an applicable safety, engineering, or other technical discipline preferred, with 5+ years of experience in a safety related field in manufacturing.

Ability to translate safety strategies into goals and metrics and create engagement.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels of an organization.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical and regulatory literature, journals, and legislation.

Ability to effectively present information in written form, or for presentation to all management levels.

Possess excellent leadership, communication and management skills.
