Primary Responsibilities:
· Manage and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
· Prepare and execute payroll functions, including preparation of semimonthly payroll and quarterly taxes and reports
· Prepare comprehensive financial statements and monthly financial reports, including comparisons of actual vs. budget, and review variances
· Record financial transactions accurately and efficiently
· Reconcile bank statements and various miscellaneous segregated/designated cash funds
· Acts as a point of contact for QuickBooks setup, training, and support
· Prepare and file 1099s and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
· Enter financial information into third-party portals such as DOR, SOS, ESD, etc.
· Ensure timely completion of tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Work closely with senior management on loan reconciliation and funding
· Coordinate and prepare annual budget and financial forecasts
· Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation for all entries
· Prepare, reconcile, and submit year-end financial statements and supporting documents for audits, tax preparation, and CPA review
· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls
· Handle all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable (AR), AP, taxes, and other financial reporting duties as assigned
· Regularly communicate with Federal and State Agencies
· Ensure all business licenses and required reporting for all entities are maintained
· Carry out general office responsibilities as required
Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or field
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online
· Strong understanding of accounting functions, including AP, AR, financial statement preparation, and payroll
· Experience in managing financial reporting, tax reporting, and audits
· Experience in managing personnel within the finance department
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure timely completion of tasks with high accuracy
· Strong communication skills for regular interaction with clients and Federal/State Agencies
· Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
