Job Description

The Town of Brewster is recruiting to fill Firefighter - EMT/Paramedic positions. We are looking for highly motivated candidates who want to make a difference in the community. The Brewster Fire Department covers a response area of 25.4 square miles and responds to over 3000 calls per year, with approximately 80% being EMS calls.

Applicants must hold National EMT certification prior to hire, hold a valid driver’s license, be 18 years of age or older, and possess a HS diploma or equivalent (GED). Preference may be given to applicants with Paramedic certification, current Paramedic students, and/or individuals with Firefighter I/II Pro-Board or equivalent certification. Candidates shall successfully pass the MA Physical Agility Test, background check, and a medical exam prior to hire.

These are full-time positions covered under the International Association of Firefighters bargaining agreement, with a starting annual base salary for FF/EMT of $62,375.00 -$64,402.00, and $68,613.00 - $70,842.00 for FF/Paramedic, depending on qualifications and experience.
