Job Title: Medical Material Handler
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Perform assembly, cleaning, evaluation, servicing, and materials handling per established procedures and quality standards.
Handle used medical devices requiring disinfection and PPE usage.
Operate and maintain material handling equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
Record transactions accurately using computers or written logs.
Report quality or production issues to supervisors immediately.
Support cross-functional operations by flexing into different tasks and departments as needed.
Contribute to team efforts with a positive, respectful attitude.
Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED – Required
Experience:
Minimum 1 year in electro-mechanical production, warehouse, or materials handling – Preferred
Prior experience in medical device production – Highly valued
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to learn and follow detailed procedures consistently.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
Able to wear PPE and handle used/recycled medical devices.
Basic computer literacy (email, mouse, navigation).
English language proficiency (written and spoken) required for training and compliance.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
Manual dexterity and visual acuity to handle small parts and tools.
Lift up to 25–40 lbs as needed, depending on assignment.
Ability to distinguish colors and hear verbal instructions.
Working Conditions:
Indoor, light industrial production environment.
Some outdoor duties may be required (loading/unloading trucks).
Overtime may be required during weekdays or Saturdays.
