Skilled Maintenance Mechanic (Temp to Perm)

Job Description

This is a temp to perm position. Once converted to perm you will be eligible for the company's full benefits package.

Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Must be able to successfully pass a background check, drug test and driver's report check.

CDL Required

Responsibilities:

Under supervision, installs, maintains, adjusts, operates, and repairs water distribution and sewer collection systems.

Essential Functions:

• Installation, maintenance, operation, and repair of systems includes but is not limited to the physical structures such as valves, pumps, meters, screens, water taps, man holes, and any other stationary or mobile equipment necessary, and required for proper operations of these systems

• Takes and records readings produced from the operation of equipment and generates associated reports

• Operates dump truck and front end loader

• This position required to be available on an on-call basis for emergencies

• Travel between work locations is required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or possession of a GED Certificate (Required)

• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Required)

• Obtain Level II certification in Wastewater or Collections Systems within 36 months of assignment date depending on department assignment (Preferred)

• Obtain Level II certification in Water or Distribution systems within 36 months of assignment date, depending on department assignment (Preferred)
