Pay: $16–$22/hr (Based on experience and job site location)

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Water Damage Mitigation Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in water and fire damage restoration, a strong understanding of drying principles and moisture mapping, and a willingness to help grow our brand in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform water extraction, structural drying, and demolition (demo) services

Conduct demo of affected materials (drywall, flooring, cabinets, etc.) as needed

Assist with smoke and fire damage cleanup

Set up and monitor drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, etc.)

Accurately document moisture readings, conditions, and job progress

Maintain communication with clients and project managers

Ensure job site cleanliness and safety at all times

Assist with pack-outs when necessary

Distribute marketing materials to potential referral sources (e.g., plumbers, property managers, realtors)

Help build and maintain relationships with referral partners through professional communication and occasional in-person visits

Follow IICRC standards and company safety protocols

Minimum Requirements:

Current IICRC WTR (Water Restoration Technician) Certification is not required but preferred

High school diploma or GED

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces or attics

Strong attention to detail and professionalism

Ability to work independently and on-call as needed

Preferred Certifications (Bonus Pay Eligible):

AMR (Applied Microbial Remediation Technician)

ASD (Applied Structural Drying Technician)

FSRT (Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician)

OCT (Odor Control Technician)

HST (Health and Safety Technician)

CCT (Carpet Cleaning Technician)

RRT (Carpet Repair and Reinstallation Technician)

UFT (Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning Technician)

RCT (Rug Cleaning Technician)

CRT (Color Repair Technician)

TCST (Trauma and Crime Scene Technician)

Contents Processing Technician (CPT)

Building Moisture Thermography (BMT)

Technicians holding any of the above certifications will receive bonus pay in addition to the base rate, based on relevance and role performance.

Schedule:

Full-time

On-call rotation, including nights/weekends

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate based on experience and certifications

Overtime opportunities

Bonus pay for additional IICRC certifications
