Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Day / Swing CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality production while maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Operate CNC milling machines and lathes to manufacture parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models using SolidWorks.
Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges to ensure precision in machined parts.
Program CNC machines for optimal performance and efficiency, making adjustments as necessary.
Assemble components as required, ensuring all parts fit together correctly and function as intended.
Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Optimize prepared programs at the machine for speeds and feeds.
Work with a variety of materials from steel, aluminum to exotics like Inconel and titanium
Qualifications:
Bring 5 years minimum prior related experience in a job shop or similar prototype and R&D environment.
Have knowledge of and experience with using G & M codes.
Be well versed in geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings.
Familiarity with programming CNC machinery is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
