LOCATION: Albany, NY

COMPENSATION: $22 per hour

HOURS: Overnights 12 AM – 8 AM

About the Role:

As a Licensed Unarmed Guard for this detail, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of the premises and buildings. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor the premises, detect, deter potential security and safety threats, and respond to any incidents that may arise during the patrols of the premises. You will work closely with the client’s security team to understand their specific security needs and implement appropriate measures. This position requires a proactive approach to safety and security.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid unarmed security guard license in New York State.

Previous experience in unarmed security

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Must be able to work overnights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in commercial unarmed security details

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Ability to write accurate and concise incident reports.

Familiar with the use of two-way radios and mobile devices.

Strong observational skills.

Ability to respond calmly to potential security threats.

Responsibilities:

Patrol and monitor areas and buildings to ensure safety and security.

Conduct regular patrols to identify and address any potential security issues.

Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, providing assistance as needed.

Collaborate with the client’s security team and local law enforcement to maintain a secure environment.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include keen observational abilities and a strong sense of situational awareness, which are essential for identifying potential security threats. Effective communication skills will be utilized daily to interact with event staff, attendees, and law enforcement, ensuring a coordinated response to any incidents. Problem-solving skills will come into play when addressing unexpected situations, allowing you to think quickly and implement appropriate solutions. Additionally, physical fitness is important for performing on-foot patrols
