Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operations Lead to oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities with a focus on shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing LTL shipments, UPS/FedEx processing, and handling large, bulky, and unusually shaped manufactured equipment. This role requires a proactive leader with strong organizational skills, forklift proficiency (including heavy-duty equipment), and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and perform daily warehouse operations, with a strong focus on shipping and receiving workflows.
Manage LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) shipments, including scheduling, loading, and securing freight.
Oversee and process parcel shipments (UPS, FedEx, etc.), ensuring accurate labeling, documentation, and timely dispatch.
Safely operate and guide team members in using heavy-duty forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Load and unload bulky and unusually shaped manufactured equipment, ensuring safety, load balance, and damage prevention.
Ensure proper documentation, inspection, and tracking of incoming and outgoing inventory.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
Coordinate with production, logistics, and customer service teams to meet operational timelines.
Train and mentor warehouse staff in safety procedures, equipment usage, and shipping/receiving best practices.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
Qualifications:
3+ years of warehouse operations experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Proven expertise in shipping and receiving, including LTL freight and parcel logistics (UPS/FedEx).
Hands-on experience with forklifts, including certification for operating heavy-duty and high-capacity forklifts.
Experience loading and securing large or irregularly shaped equipment.
Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and inventory systems.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional logistics or supply chain training a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and shipping software. QuickBooks experience is preferred
Basic mechanical or technical aptitude for understanding manufactured equipment.
CDL or experience driving box trucks is a plus but not required.Company Description
