About the Role:
The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This position is responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting processes, including bank reconciliations, job costing, and the preparation of financial statements. The Accounting Manager will lead a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Additionally, this role will involve analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making. Ultimately, the Accounting Manager will contribute to the financial health and sustainability of the organization by maintaining robust accounting practices and systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including full cycle accounting.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
Preferred Qualifications:
In depth Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and the General Ledger.
Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow to ensure the organization maintains adequate liquidity.
Assist with the implementation and maintain the Microsoft Dynamics accounting system and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Skills:
The required skills such as bank reconciliation and general accounting are essential for ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. Proficiency in accounting systems allows the Accounting Manager to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities. Job costing and cost accounting skills are utilized to analyze project profitability and inform budgeting decisions. A strong understanding of balance sheets and general ledgers is critical for maintaining the integrity of financial records. Preferred skills, such as advanced knowledge of ERP systems, can further enhance the efficiency of the accounting department and support strategic financial planning.
