Overview

Great Dane Powder Coating (Latrobe Pa.) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a deep understanding of production management principles. This role is critical in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing supply chain systems. The Plant Manager will lead a team dedicated to achieving operational excellence while fostering a culture of continuous improvement through lean manufacturing practices.

Duties

Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.

Schedule production on multiple lines

Develop and implement production planning strategies to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.

Manage the supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Conduct regular quality control assessments to maintain product integrity and compliance with industry standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals with overall business objectives.

Train, mentor, and evaluate plant staff to foster professional development and improve team performance.

Requirements

Proven experience in plant management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.

Familiarity with supply chain systems and production planning methodologies.

Experience in lean manufacturing techniques and quality control processes.

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and decision-making.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration across departments.

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
