We’re partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit to find an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day financial operations and serve as a key liaison between the accounting team and senior leadership.

This role goes beyond traditional accounting management. It offers the opportunity to bring fresh ideas, implement process improvements, and help shape efficient, scalable accounting systems. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting skills with initiative, creativity, and a collaborative spirit.

Top Objectives

Strong interpersonal communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally

Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations

Lead the month-end close and ensure accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP

Collaborate with leadership to improve financial workflows and implement best practices

Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and take initiative in process development

Act as a bridge between the accounting team and management, ensuring clear communication and alignment

Supervise and support finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability and growth

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

5–7 years of accounting experience, with 1–2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role

Strong understanding of nonprofit or fund accounting preferred

Mission-minded, self-motivated, and committed to driving impact through financial excellence
