The Business Applications Specialist has a pivotal role within the IT team and will be the primary liaison between IT and different business areas throughout the company. Reporting to the Director of IT, the Business Applications Specialist will be responsible for developing and applying in-depth business and technical knowledge to drive business results. This role supports Heliene’s strategic goals by maintaining high standards in customer service and product quality. Cross collaboration with the various different departments will be critical for this role, including Operations, Engineering, HR, and Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaison between IT and various business application SMEs & stakeholders.
Provide technical support for critical business applications that drive business results.
Conduct stakeholder meetings to document various critical Business Applications:
Customer Relationship Management (CRM), specifically Microsoft Dynamics
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), specifically Microsoft Business Central
Manufacturing Execution System (MES), specifically CamLine
Application Programming Interface (API) between ERP & MES
Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Provide detailed systems analysis regarding the overall health of Business Applications, including gap analysis and necessary remediation recommendations.
Work with all aspects of the business to document critical Business Applications.
PM skills to document business applications and communicate changes to leadership.
Create presentations that clearly turn data into actionable information.
Build specific Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery protocols for Business Apps.
Design and execute business application UAT for App high-availability and redundancy.
Manage and resolve issues through detailed investigation and escalation as necessary.
Contribute to product development and documentation accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field and three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.
Working knowledge and experience with supporting and maintaining business applications, including ERP, CRM, MES, APIs, and/or MRP
Specific knowledge and experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (Camline) an asset
Active Directory user account management
Proficient with Desktop and Server support tools
External vendor management
Strategic Backup & Recovery design and execution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Software Suite
Must have valid driver's licence and reliable transportation, work onsite daily in Rogers, MN
Manufacturing background considered an asset
Business Analysis knowledge and experience considered an asset
Project Management Office experience considered an asset
Program Management experience considered an asset
Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000 Annually
