SUMMARY:

The Assembly Quality Assurance Inspector performs quality inspection of assemblies and subassemblies within the Assembly Value Stream. The Assembly Value Stream performs mechanical assembly, electrical integration, and acceptance testing of Karman final products for defense and spaceflight. Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Performs inspection of mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies.

Ensures product within Assembly Value Stream meets requirements of engineering documentation, customer requirements, and Karman QMS.

Ensures product traceability and manufacturing records are accurate.

Initiates nonconformances within the Assembly Value Stream

Performs in process inspections during fabrication and assembly, assisting in AS9102 First Articles

Supports Quality Engineering with source inspections at Karman's suppliers and on-site

Assists with preparation of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) documenting hardware deliverables

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required Education: High School diploma

Demonstrated strong work ethic, effective communication and natural leadership skills

More than 2 years in aerospace manufacturing or quality operations

Preferred Experience: Working knowledge of AS9100

Must be a U.S. Citizen, and hold OR be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance
