CNC Setup Operator/Programmer

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible to set up, program and operate Tsunami and Daewoo CNC lathes machines with EDM programming experience.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

· Program & set up CNC machines (computerized Numerical Control)

· Prepare the first piece inspection in accordance with company policy.

· If required, submit first piece to quality control department for inspection.

· Obtain and load proper bar stock to machines.

· Operate machines introduction mode, when not engaged in a setup.

· Make minor and/or major adjustments to machinery to insure that production stays within established quality parameters.

· Completion of production records such as recap cards and pan tickets.

· Assist in securing proper paperwork for operators within your compliment of machines.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Excellent math skills

· Ability to use gages and precision measuring equipment and read and interpret blue prints.

· Prior experience setting up various CNC machines is necessary

· Knowledge of setting up and operating CNC Lathes and HMC's are a must

· EDM Experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
