Experienced Home Remodel Specialist (Drywall & Framing Focus)

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Home Remodel Specialist will play a key role on our renovation team, focusing on structural framing and drywall installation and finishing. This role requires a self-starter with experience across various residential remodeling tasks, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay is based on experience.

Responsibilities:

Perform residential remodeling work with a focus on framing (wood/metal stud) and drywall (installation, taping, mudding, sanding)

Read and interpret blueprints, scopes of work, and project plans

Ensure all work is performed to code and project specifications

Assist with demolition, cabinetry, flooring, trim, and other remodel tasks as needed

Communicate clearly with project managers, clients, and team members

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite

Identify and troubleshoot construction issues in real time

Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively

Track materials and report needs for job sites

Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on remodeling experience, with strong drywall and framing skills

Ability to frame walls, ceilings, and basic structural modifications

Proficient in drywall hanging, taping, mudding, and finishing to level 4+

Strong understanding of residential construction practices

Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

Own tools (or willingness to obtain required tools)

Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various physical environments

We are a woman-owned business located in Mercer Island, Washington. The owner and operator, Randi Kearn, had spent nearly 30 years in the painting and construction industry before deciding to get her general contractors license and go into remodeling. This is how the Greater Eastside Remodel was created. At that point, Kearn decided to specialize in residential and commercial environments. More specifically, the company remodels kitchens, bathrooms, large renovations, builds ADU's and DADU's and offers many additional services.

At Greater Eastside Remodel, we pride ourselves on always going above and beyond. We want each customer to have a seamless experience when doing business with us. This means going to the customer’s remodel site to handle estimates and taking care of the entire process of receiving the permits for the customer.
