Job Description – Warehouse Associate

PURPOSE OF POSITION & REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Responsible for ensuring materials are monitored and pulled according to jobs being completed.

REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities)

Education

High school diploma/GED equivalent is required for this position.

Experience

One to two years of plumbing industry experience or knowledge is preferred.

Forklift certified is preferred.

CDL License is a plus.

Fluent bilingual speaking ability is a plus.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Professional communication skills.

Requires timely response to emails, phone calls and any other communication efforts made to the employee in this position.

Basic computer skills or common knowledge of using an electronic device such as an I-pad, laptop, or cell phone that will be used for onboarding and communication uses for work.

ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS

Responsibilities

Pull and monitor all materials and/or products required to complete purchase orders or delivery orders to clients.

Obtain customer signatures for purchase orders and deliveries pulled from the warehouse.

Responsible for pulling all trim faucets and keeping inventory until trim is released.

Double check all job order pulls for accuracy.

Load and unload supply trucks in a timely manner.

Stock shelves with proper supplies, and in proper locations throughout the warehouse.

Help assist customers and others, as needed in the warehouse/shop.

Assist in keeping the warehouse clean and organized

Relationships with Others

Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with the Assistant Warehouse Manager.

Demonstrates the ability to interact professionally with other Hallway Plumbing employees.

Demonstrates the ability to interact professionally with external contacts of Hallway Plumbing.

Coordinates with all other employees in a manner that maximizes overall business efficiency.Physical Demand & Work Environment

Lifts up to 75 pounds from the floor to waist level and able to carry such objects for at least 50 feet, for majority of business day.

Capable of driving a forklift as needed, and willingness to be forklift certified if not at time of hire.

Capable of driving and taking various forms of transportation to get to job sites when necessary.

The person in this position typically works in a warehouse environment, with minimal travel to job sites if necessary. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

Ability to work scheduled hours, and at times come in earlier than scheduled or stay late as needed.

The ability to use power tools at times is preferred.

Uses available time during any workday in a wise and productive manner to maximize work efficiency.

Spends reasonable additional time beyond normal working hours as may be required to meet work demands.

Reads, responds, and takes actions daily on all emails or communication by email, text, or call received.
