Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

Snelling is looking for Warehouse Supervisor for a machining company in the Calera, AL area! We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and safe handling of products and materials. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient inventory management, material handling, and shipping/receiving processes while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. Manage shipments using the sales backlog and schedule shipments according to promise dates to customers.

1st shift opening with a pay range of $70,000-85,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities of Warehouse Supervisor:

Supervise warehouse personnel and coordinate daily activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping of materials.

Ensure timely and accurate inventory control, including cycle counts and reconciliation.

Monitor warehouse productivity and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce waste.

Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to support manufacturing schedules and material availability.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.

Maintain detailed records of warehouse transactions and shipping logs.

Basic Qualifications Required for Warehouse Supervisor:

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must have a high school diploma or GED

2-3 years of warehouse lead/supervisory experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and safety regulations

Familiarity with valves, castings, and mechanical components is a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 36

Forklift certification preferred

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
