Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Project & Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to define project scopes, technical requirements, success criteria, and delivery milestones.
Manage execution through clear documentation, solution design, testing, deployment, and knowledge transfer.
Translate complex technical work into clear business outcomes, including presentations and reports tailored for non-technical audiences.
Algorithm & Solution Development:
Design, develop, and deploy predictive/prescriptive analytics models (optimization, simulation, heuristics) in direct support of strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Build scalable machine learning pipelines, including feature engineering, training, evaluation, and monitoring.
Develop generative AI-powered solutions for summarization, content generation, personalized recommendations, and decision support.
Explore and build agentic AI systems that can autonomously plan, reason, and act across tasks and tools.
Implement robust, secure, and compliant data science solutions that evolve as business needs and data sources change.
Technical Excellence:
Engineer scalable, production-ready solutions using Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, or Azure.
Apply advanced optimization and machine learning techniques across structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data.
Monitor, retrain, and continuously improve models through automated MLOps pipelines and clear performance metrics.
Create intuitive dashboards, data visualizations, and reports to deliver actionable intelligence to diverse stakeholders.
Operational Support:
Provide high-quality, timely support for production models and analytics products.
Collaborate with fellow Data Scientists, Engineers, and Business Analysts to ensure a resilient and scalable analytics platform.
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field required. Masters degree preferred.
3 to 5 years of experience building full-cycle data science and machine learning solutions.
Expertise with machine learning libraries: PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and deep understanding of model lifecycle management. Strong command of the tools for building machine learning models.
Proficient in Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch) and advanced SQL.
2 to 3 years of experience with big data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks or Spark.
Solid understanding of probability theory, statistical testing, and model validation.
Strong writing skills and verbal communication; able to translate technical work for business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience building and deploying Generative AI applications, e.g., LLM (Large Language Model) fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems.
Exposure to agentic AI systems (e.g., autonomous agents, tool usage frameworks, multi-step reasoning models). Able to implement large language models.
Familiarity with MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) platforms: MLflow, Snowpark or ML Kubeflow and experience deploying models into production (e.g., REST APIs via Flask or FastAPI).
Certifications in Snowflake, Databricks AWS or Azure.
Prior experience working in regulated industries (e.g., defense, healthcare, finance).
Exposure to advanced simulation, reinforcement learning, or decision-support modeling.

This position is based at our corporate headquarters in West Bend, Wisconsin. A hybrid arrangement with some remote work will be considered.
