Responsibilities

Actively monitor security alerts and respond to events in real-time to minimize potential threats

Conduct thorough investigations of security alerts and provide detailed documentation in the case management platform on findings

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement effective threat hunting, incident investigation and response strategies

Develop and maintain incident response procedures, ensuring they are up to date with emerging threats

Perform root cause analysis of incidents and recommend improvements to prevent future occurrences

Maintain awareness of the latest cybersecurity trends and threat intelligence to enhance response capabilities

Provide expert guidance on security best practices and incident prevention techniques

Demonstrate ability to work in high stress situations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience

Preferred Cybersecurity certifications: GIAC, Certified Ethical Hacker [CEH], CompTIA CYSA, Security+ or equivalent

Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field

Solid understanding of the external threat landscape and adversary tactics & techniques

Knowledge of incident management techniques throughout the incident lifecycle: assessment, containment, restoration, documentation, evidence preservation, and forensics

Knowledge of malware detection and analysis, and ability to reverse engineer malware code

Knowledge of information security best practices and technology risk management disciplines and technologies

Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and laws

Knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies

Ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources

Ability to deliver swift response and action-oriented skills

Analytical mindset, focused on results with critical thinking, research and problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Ability to implement and communicate actionable insights to streamline processes/transactions

Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative

Ability to manage competing priorities on concurrent large, complex projects, initiatives, and deliverables

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong technical proficiency in the use of MS Office including Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
