Job Description
Sigmatech has an opening for an organized, self-starter for Information Technology (IT) Intern. This position will provide basic end-user helpdesk support for the corporate office and various system administration support under the direct supervision of the Sigmatech IT Manager. Position is expected to work 10-25 hours per week.
Responsibilities and Duties may include:
Assist with monitoring and respond to support requests via email, phone and in-person
Track support requests in the helpdesk ticketing system
Escalate support issues as necessary
Assist with creating and managing user credentials
Assist in setup and management of employee email accounts
Setup conference meetings
Assist with management hosted VOIP system
Assist in the procurement for company IT equipment
Assist with installation and configuration of new workstations and printers
Provide off-site support
Assist with IT inventory management
Assist IT Manager with additional projects as needed
Required Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Windows based computers
Must be a US Citizen
Desired Qualifications:
Experience providing technical support to users in an office environment
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows computers in a domain environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts
Education:
Sufficient technical or coursework towards an IT related Bachelor's degree
0-2 years of experience in an IT helpdesk or similar job is ideal
