Job Title: Inspection Technician
Job Description
Join a leading company in piezoelectric materials technology as an Inspection Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring products meet both customer and internal specifications, documenting test and inspection results, and communicating findings effectively. You will be part of a dynamic team providing custom solutions for various industries including medical ultrasound, semiconductors, and industrial sensors.
Responsibilities
Set-up and maintain equipment used in the production process to assess quality levels of products.
Plate a variety of parts to blueprint using manual methods and complete all associated paperwork.
Assist in troubleshooting plating problems.
Review work order or schedule established by the team and understand process sheet/blueprint.
Process parts through plating, passivation, or cleaning lines as required by process specifications.
Log all procedures as dictated by plating specifications in the corresponding log book, including electroplating, passivation, and pickling.
Calculate surface area of parts to be plated or cleaned and apply current density according to the plating specifications.
Operate measuring devices, including micrometers and dial gauges.
Run products through processes using rack or barrels (cleaning, plating, passivation pickling) in accordance with plating specifications.
Work with chemicals such as sensitizers, activators, cleaning chemicals, and acids.
Setup fixtures, racks, and barrels utilizing historical data/logs with support from the team leader and lab technician.
Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Exercise proper waste disposal under the guidance of the team leader or lab technician.
Participate in lean and 5S+ activities as required.
Follow shop environmental and safety procedures, including using proper personal protection equipment at all times.
Perform additional tasks as required by management.Essential Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing or equivalent experience.
Experience with data entry and recording quality assessments of products.
Working knowledge of standard inspection techniques and practices.
Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, and inspection microscopes.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proactive and driven to continually assist in the improvement of the quality system.
3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Experience in manufacturing and machining of ceramic or metal materials is a plus.
Experience machining and inspecting tight tolerance complex geometries to the part drawings is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Candidates will be working in a clean and well-organized manufacturing facility that is climate-controlled. The role requires physical ability to manipulate parts weighing up to 50 lbs. The work schedule is 1st Shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of State College, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
