Exciting opportunity for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a 6th-grade student in a middle school setting located in Limestone, ME. This in-person contract position spans the 2024-2025 school year, focusing on providing essential munication assistance to enhance the student's educational experience.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)

Previous experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with children

Strong interpersonal and munication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff

Knowledge of deaf culture and educational practices

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one sign language interpretation for the assigned student

Collaborate with educational staff to facilitate effective munication

Interpret instructional materials and classroom discussions
