Job Description
We are seeking production technicians to join our dynamic team across five different buildings. This role requires individuals with experience in heavy equipment repair, forklift repair and operation, as well as a mechanical mindset. Candidates with experience in automotive mechanics, farm equipment, and engine repair are preferred.
Responsibilities
Operate mobile equipment and perform machine operations to support the Autonomous Production Unit (APU) processes and procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Multitask effectively while paying attention to detail and precision.
Communicate effectively and perform other general tasks as assigned by management.Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to pass a basic skills assessment including reading comprehension, math, inspection, measuring, and monitoring/problem-solving.
Must be 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Excellent attendance and safety record.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in heavy equipment/forklift repair or operation.
Mechanical aptitude and a mechanically inclined mindset.
Familiarity with machine operation, overhead cranes, and motor control.
Ability to work in a tobacco-free environment.
Willingness to work a 3-2-2 schedule that includes every other weekend, holidays, and overtime (6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.).
Ability to work in a factory/manufacturing environment with exposure to heat and cold conditions.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is based in an aluminum manufacturing plant in Alabama, which employs over 1,200 people. The facility features the widest strip mill in the USA and a state-of-the-art recycling center. Employees work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to various temperatures, in a factory setting that operates 24/7. The dress code is casual, and new employees should anticipate being assigned to the night shift, with opportunities to bid on different shifts after the initial training period.

The pay range for this position is $46592.00 - $49193.60/yr.
