Job Description
As an active member of the production team on the plant floor, the E&I Technician is responsible production line PLC programing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and installation of electrical & automated systems on production, packaging, and facility systems. This position will work closely with all members of the plant and will report to the Department Manager. We are currently hiring for 1st shift (7AM-3PM) Monday-Friday. Starting pay is $42.88 - $46.41 per hour. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and/or replace electrical/electronic systems.
Knowledge of Allen Bradley, Omron, Direct Logic PLC’s and integrated Windows software.
Install and maintain new and existing electrical wiring within the facility.
Ability to build, program, and troubleshoot PLC's, VFD's, and servo motors.
Repair circuits, replace contactors and switches, and wire new electrical panels.
Troubleshoot and repair high frequency drives.
Rebuild, troubleshoot, repair, and replace AC and DC electrical motors, 3 phase motors and generators, circuits, controllers, and related electronic devices.
Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
Repair and maintain high speed assembly machines.
Participate, as requested, on plant or company project teams.
Follow all local, state and federal electrical codes.
Document problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems.
Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping practices, keeping work and shop areas clean and orderly.
Provide production line programing.
Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of test equipment and diagnostic instruments for automation and power systems.
Knowledge of vacuum pumps and systems, material handling systems.
Experience troubleshooting, test and repair techniques
Computer literacy. Working knowledge of all software packages relevant to successful performance of tasks.
Must be able to work independently.
Function well within a team environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Current Journeyman or Masters License.
