Minimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.

An exciting opportunity awaits for a qualified Sign Language Interpreter in Elgin, TX, within a dynamic middle school environment. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, where the school operates on a four-day week schedule, with some flexibility required for five-day weeks as needed.

Qualifications:

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)

Must be BEI certified per State of Texas

Previous experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with middle school students

Strong munication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and students

Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services for deaf or hard-of-hearing students in classroom settings

Collaborate with educators to facilitate effective munication and enhance student learning

Attend meetings and participate in professional development as required

Maintain documentation and records of interpreting services provided
