Job Description

As a Process Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer orders are fulfilled and dispatched promptly within our warehouse environment. This involves handling liquid chemicals used for water treatment, cleaning the plant, and using forklifts for material handling.

Responsibilities

Receive direction from the shift manager to fill customer orders using liquid chemicals.

Stage filled orders at the dock and load them onto trucks.

Clean hoses used for filling totes with liquid chemicals and tidy the warehouse.

Use electronic pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts to move and stage finished products.

Accurately complete paperwork including process conditions, test results, instrument readings, and shipping documentation.

Spend substantial time washing and disposing of used totes and drums.

Address the backlog of cleaning tasks due to increased order volume.Essential Skills

Experience with sit-down forklifts, with at least 6 months of regular use.

Manufacturing or production experience, or any labor-intensive job.

Strong customer focus and attention to detail.

Ability and willingness to work outdoors as needed.

Steel-toed shoes are mandatory.

Ability to accept direct feedback and adhere to safety procedures.

Comfort working with chemicals, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Willingness to shave facial hair to fit into a respirator when necessary.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in chemical manufacturing, particularly with micronutrients or polymers.

Experience in mixing or blending.Shift & Pay

1st shift - 4am-12pm /$20

2nd shift -12pm-8pm /$20

Work Environment

While weekend work is not mandated, employees often work additional hours to manage workload. Personal protective equipment such as bump caps, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and chemical suits are required. The warehouse is temperature-controlled, but can become warm during summer months due to the chemical suits. The main chemicals handled include phosphates, sodium hypo, caustic soda, and various coagulants.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camby, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
