Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned EMR Solutions Architect with deep expertise in implementing and customizing major EMR platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IT, with specific experience in reproductive medicine or specialty clinic workflows. This role requires hands-on technical leadership, deep interoperability knowledge, and a consultative mindset to drive complex EMR implementation and integration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of EMR implementations, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and alignment with clinical workflows.

Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to define integration strategies and technical roadmaps.

Customize and configure commercial EMR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or Allscripts to meet client-specific requirements.

Develop APIs and HL7/FHIR-based interfaces for seamless data exchange between systems, labs, and medical devices.

Create and maintain scalable frameworks and repeatable methodologies for EMR implementation and support.

Serve as a technical liaison to non-technical stakeholders, clearly communicating design options, timelines, and implications.

Manage and mentor technical teams during the deployment of EMR systems and data migration projects.

Ensure all solutions comply with relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and industry best practices.

Support post-acquisition integration of EMR systems in multi-site or growing clinical environments.

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in implementing and customizing major EMR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, etc.)

Proven leadership experience in healthcare IT projects

Strong knowledge of clinical workflows in reproductive medicine or specialty care settings

Expertise in HL7, FHIR, and healthcare data integration practices

Experience with API development and system interoperability

Demonstrated success managing large-scale EMR implementations

Experience building scalable implementation frameworks and templates

Excellent communication and consultative skills; ability to interface with technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with custom-built EMR platforms

Domain expertise in reproductive medicine or specialty clinics

Familiarity with lab and device integration protocols (e.g., ASTM, POCT1-A)

Experience supporting EMR integration during healthcare M&A or acquisitions

Certifications in EMR systems (e.g., Epic Certified, Cerner Millennium Certified)

Knowledge of healthcare compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.)

Experience applying Agile methodology to healthcare software implementations
