Job Description

Minimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.

A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a 6th-grade student in a middle school setting. This in-person position is aimed at facilitating effective munication and enhancing the educational experience for the student throughout the 2024-2025 school year.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (NIC or equivalent)

Proven experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with children

Strong interpersonal and munication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff

Knowledge of deaf culture and practices

Location:Presque Isle, ME

Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services for the student in classroom settings

Collaborate with educational staff to ensure seamless munication

Support the students participation in all aspects of school life

Attend meetings and participate in professional development opportunities as required

Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
