The IS Application Manager – Senior is responsible for leading and managing application development teams through subordinate supervisors. This role focuses on strategic planning, resource and budget management, team leadership, and delivery oversight to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex and high-impact projects aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate actively in strategic planning sessions with IT leadership and business stakeholders.

Oversee the planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting of the assigned applications team or functional area.

Lead and manage complex or strategic IT projects, ensuring consistent delivery and adherence to organizational standards.

Maintain expert knowledge of relevant technologies, tools, and methodologies, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

Ensure team performance, including supervision, coaching, and professional development of team members.

Collaborate with enterprise architects to ensure all integrations and applications align with architectural standards.

Ensure that technical deliverables, including documentation, designs, and support artifacts, are produced and maintained.

Provide on-call production support as needed and lead issue resolution for high-impact incidents.

Drive adherence to agile practices and delivery frameworks within the team.

Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

10+ years of experience in software/application development or IT leadership.

5+ years of experience managing or leading software development teams.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Proven ability to lead data integration initiatives and collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams.

Excellent team leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and deliver in high-stakes environments.

Strong initiative with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the ARGO Teller platform or similar financial services platforms.

Agile certifications such as SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), Scrum Master (CSM), or Leading SAFe.

Prior experience in the financial services industry.

Experience managing end-to-end delivery of technical solutions, including design, development, documentation, and deployment.

Strong skills in technical documentation, solution design, and stakeholder communication.

Familiarity with production support environments and ITIL best practices.
