Machine Shop CNC Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Shop CNC Supervisor in West Valley to oversee and guide machine shop operators and assistants in machining products necessary for assembly parts and components for medical devices. The position demands hands-on support, including programming and operating machines, with a focus on precision and quality standards in a medical device manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Lead daily operations by assigning tasks, scheduling personnel, and ensuring alignment with plant and company goals.

Drive associate productivity, accountability, and performance through effective leadership, training, and conflict resolution.

Monitor and maintain proper use of equipment, coordinate routine maintenance, and manage supply inventory.

Perform component packaging, testing, and non-compliance handling per documented procedures.

Operate and set up CNC mills and lathes for precise medical component production.

Set up tooling, fixtures, and optimize machining parameters.

Perform secondary operations like deburring, ultrasonic cleaning, and sandblasting.

Inspect parts using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).

Read and interpret 2D drawings and GD&T for conformance.

Contribute to process improvements and efficiency gains.

Ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, and GMP documentation standards.

Essential Skills

Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience.

Ability to provide leadership and accountability.

Basic understanding of G-code and CNC programming.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.

Familiarity with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.

Knowledge of ISO and FDA regulations in medical device manufacturing.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Preferred experience in medical device machining.

Experience in a regulated environment (medical device, aerospace, or similar).

Ability to work independently and in a team environment to meet production goals.

Experience with medical-grade materials (stainless steel, titanium, PEEK, etc.).

Exposure to lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.Shift

Monday through Thursday from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Pay:

$38-44/hour / Direct hire not a contract job

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $92000.00/yr.

Benefits

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
