Barracuda's 2025 Internship is reserved for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and does not require work authorization, now or in the future. This role is hybrid based out of Ann Arbor, MI and required on site days Monday and Wednesday.

We are seeking a driven, eager to learn Site Reliability Engineering Intern to join our Ann Arbor-based Team. As a Site Reliability Engineering Intern, you will help us modernize and migrate a core service while ensuring the availability of its components. Your work will help expand the monitoring, automation, testing, and deployment to improve the efficiency and reliability of the application. You will gain valuable real-world experience working with common software engineering tools, cross functional teams, and developing your problem-solving skills. We want someone who is a self-starter, passionate about technology, and excited to learn something new.

What you'll be working on

Learn about the software development lifecycle, including roadmap and project planning, development and quality assurance testing, and deployment procedures

Implement and test support tools, improvements, and/or optimizations for the product

Find and fix bugs in production and development environments

Thoughtfully give, and gracefully receive, rigorous code reviews

Interpret metrics to monitor system performance and user behavior

Document and communicate research and results

What you bring to the role

Studying toward a degree in a technology field, or equivalent work experience

Eagerness to set goals and be part of a team

Curiosity and drive to learn and investigate unfamiliar systems

Written and verbal technical communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

Enthusiasm and willingness to communicate via video-conferencing and text-based chat
