The Adolescent Mood Disorders Unit provides a therapeutic environment for those in crisis. During each adolescents stay, our team works toward crisis stabilization so that the patient can move back into their home community or on to a step-down level of care as quickly as is safely possible.

What to expect.

You will provide compassionate care to adolescents ages 12 through 17 of all genders, conducting psychosocial assessments, delivering individual and group therapy sessions, and collaborating with treatment teams to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Providing individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Offering supportive counseling and monitoring progress towards treatment goals.

Collaborating with treatment team members to communicate patient progress and contribute to treatment planning and aftercare planning processes.

Participating in family meetings and collaborative care sessions as needed to support holistic patient care.

What we need from you.

Must possess one of the following Maryland licenses at time of hire:

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C)

Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC)

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)

2 years of experience in a mental health setting.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, board certifications and years and level of related experience. The pay range for this position is $60k - $105k.
