Winpak Control Group inc. is seeking a Pressman to join our Printing Department based out of Norwood, NJ on Day shift. In this role, you will set up and operate offset printing presses to deliver high-quality print jobs that meet customer and production specifications. As part of our manufacturing team, your work will directly support Winpak’s reputation for quality and consistency while contributing to our production excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate offset printing presses (e.g., Heidelberg, Muller Martin, Edelmann, etc.)
Prepare printing plates, ink fountains, and paper for press runs
Align and register color to maintain consistency and quality throughout the print run
Conduct routine press checks to confirm accuracy and adherence to standards
Monitor press operations and adjust ink, water balance, feed, and registration
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Accurately document production output, maintenance activities, and press-related issues
Collaborate with production teams and supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience operating offset printing presses in a production environment
Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot press equipment and resolve issues quickly
Familiarity with ink/water balance, paper types, and print registration
Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime or shifts, based on production needs
Preferred Qualifications
Technical or trade school training in printing or graphic arts
Experience operating specific machinery (Heidelberg, Muller Martin, Edelmann)
Knowledge of color theory and quality assurance in a pressroom environment
Experience with preventative maintenance of printing equipment
Additional Details
This position is for a Day Shift
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
100% onsite position in a fast-paced production setting
May involve occasional overtime depending on production schedules
