Global Finance firm is seeking a Tech Support Analyst/Junior Developer, excellent benefits, compensation, bonus, stock options and room to grow!
The primary support responsibilities in this position are to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and Help Desk issue tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level. In addition, there are opportunities to build and enhance in house programs that integrate financial data, along with the interfaces that access them.
• Provide systems and network support
• Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software for employees
• Respond to Tier 2 help desk tickets
• Escalate support issues to appropriate levels for resolution assistance if unable to resolve
• Communicate with IT Management regarding outstanding issues
• Perform necessary tasks to resolve and close calls in a timely manner
• Train internal end-users on system and software basics
• Troubleshooting skills for a host of peripherals
• Physical capability to lift and carry 50 lbs in order to carry and set up computers when necessary
• Enhance and build interfaces for in-house systems
• Review existing code for potential enhancements
• Build integrations with various external web services available to the company
• Maintain and promote the high standards of the department set by IT Management
Bachelors Degree preferred
Will see a new College Grad with internships and/or 2+ yrs. in a technical support environment with an understanding of the essential expectations of the job and bring valuable knowledge and experience to the company
Would like someone who would like to learn programming
Travel to other corporate offices may be required (up to 10%)
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, and to meet agreed upon deadlines
Good knowledge of, and experience with, Windows 10 and Microsoft M365 is required
Experience supporting Windows, OSX and iOS operating systems
Basic understanding of WAN / LAN infrastructure, and Windows servers (Active Directory) and messaging (Exchange)
Experience with C#, Javascript, SQL Server, and Groovy and a willingness to learn additional technologies
Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and non-verbal)
Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to be proactive in problem resolution for a production environment
Must be highly self-motivated, require little or no supervision and demonstrate a consistently strong initiative
