Our client, a top-ranked Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Senior Manager, Editorial to support the firm’s content strategy and uphold high editorial standards across all marketing and communications initiatives. This role will work closely with the Editorial Director and play a critical role in shaping the firm’s voice—both internally and externally—ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand and style guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Review and edit a wide range of content—including thought leadership pieces, client alerts, event invitations, and internal communications—to ensure consistency with AP style and firm-specific guidelines
Implement and uphold editorial standards across various content types, including practice descriptions, attorney biographies, social media posts, and internal messaging
Draft and edit content for the firm’s digital platforms, including the website and social media channels
Collaborate with business development, marketing, and administrative teams to ensure content aligns with business goals and engages target audiences
Support content creation and editing for rankings and awards submissions
Manage multiple content projects and editorial workflows, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
Serve as a key quality control resource, safeguarding the firm’s editorial voice
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include communications, journalism, marketing, media, or a related discipline
Minimum of 10 years of experience in editorial, communications, or business development roles within a law firm or professional services environment (PR backgrounds will not be considered)
Deep familiarity with AP style and strong command of professional editorial standards
Demonstrated success managing complex editorial projects and content calendars
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working with web and digital content management tools
Familiarity with legal industry terminology and marketing practices
