The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a summer 2025 intern to collaborate with engineers and machinists in a dynamic prototyping and manufacturing environment. Leverage your design expertise alongside hands-on skills to fabricate and test cutting-edge marine prototypes. Showcase your technical proficiency by creating detailed CAD drawings and comprehensive test reports to document your innovative work.
Responsibilities:
Gain hands-on expertise as a machine shop apprentice, master cutting-edge fabrication techniques
Develop precision skills in machine operation and intricate model-making, working with diverse materials and tools
Master 3D modeling using SolidWorks, creating complex CAD designs for prototypes and productions
Hone technical drafting abilities, producing detailed engineering drawings that accurately convey design specifications
Bridge the gap between conceptual design and practical manufacturing, developing a comprehensive skill. set in both areas
Qualifications:
Required:
Must be a current student who has successfully completed at least one year of Engineering studies at an ABET-accredited institution, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices.
Demonstrated proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
Ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical engineering challenges
Desired:
3.0 or above GPA
Previous intern, academic, or other experience

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $41,700 - $83,500
