Field Mechanic Agricultural Equipment

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Mechanic to diagnose and repair equipment directly in the field, ensuring minimal downtime for customers. Our client specializes in agricultural equipment.

Hours: 8am-5pm

Pay: 20-28/hr DOE

Position Overview:

As a Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of agricultural equipment, including gas and diesel engines, as well as hydraulic systems. This role requires working in the field, traveling to customer locations using a company-provided truck. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, possess their own tools, and be ready to tackle a wide range of repair tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair a variety of gas and diesel engines, as well as hydraulic systems on agricultural equipment.

Perform field service repairs at customer locations using a company-provided truck.

Utilize mechanical skills to troubleshoot equipment issues and complete repairs efficiently.

Communicate effectively with customers and provide high-quality service to minimize equipment downtime.

Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used.

Follow company safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably with agricultural equipment.

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing gas and diesel engines, as well as hydraulics.

Must have own tools for the job.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to work independently in the field and adapt to various work conditions.
