OVERVIEW:
Will provide in-depth Process engineering support to company's growth initiatives by providing support to the complex to include Business Development/Commercial teams, Project Directors so as to ensure speedy, cost effective, sustainable and proven technological solutions towards design and construction of terminals or related infrastructure with a focus on new energies and emerging technologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support project engineers and managers in the analysis of technical problems and find sound engineering solutions.
Be a part of the team towards preparation of feasibility and conceptual studies, FEED works, permit engineering, QRA, basic and detailed engineering, draw equipment specifications, prepare estimates and evaluate vendor / contractors' offers.
Develop technical proposals, prepare engineering documents and vendor specifications, prepare estimates, evaluate and manage costs as well as a schedule of tasks in close coordination with the clusters to optimize costs, processes and quality. Also review existing specifications and develop new technical specification as may be required to stay abreast with the new technological developments.
Coordinate and interact with the different stakeholders about project reviews, technical analysis and peer reviews. Also participate in HAZOP and other engineering studies.
Minor-capital project execution (revenue generating and sustaining).
Participate in system/equipment problem solving; investigating operating deficiencies/inefficiencies and providing recommendations for modifications to physical setup or operating procedures to improve the reliability and production efficiency of the equipment or system.
Responsible for cost overview updates on schedule and capex spending.
Responsible for regular progress and budget overview reporting to management.
Support maintenance activities. Review existing assets, designs, architectures and propose improvements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Process or Chemical Engineering.
5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in the design and construction of LNG, ammonia, LPG, and/or chemical storage terminals to include chemical plants and/or refineries
Familiarity with applicable U.S. codes and standards is essential.
Proven experience with refrigerated and cryogenic fluids, including chemicals and hydrocarbons such as butane, propane, propylene, LNG, and ammonia. Knowledge of hydrogen handling is a plus.
