ELECT Case Manager - Contract

Position Overview

This contracted position will commence on July 1, 2025, with an hourly compensation of $21.98. The weekly hours for this role are determined by caseload demands and may reach up to 20 hours per week; however, a minimum of 20 hours is not guaranteed.

At present, the caseload primarily consists of students from Clarion and Venango counties. There is potential for expansion to include students from the additional four counties supported by the program, contingent upon enrollment fluctuations throughout the program year.

Position Summary:

To provide education and supportive services to participants under the age of 22 in the Education Leading to Employment and Career Training program in their efforts to obtain a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate (HSE) with emphasis on parenting and transitioning to work, vocational education or higher education.

Qualifications Required:

- Valid driver's license and private automobile

- Associate's degree or higher and/or related training and education credentials

Qualifications Desired:

- Bachelor's degree in education or social services with education background preferred

- Teen parent service experience

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

- Facilitate student groups on topic areas such as but not limited to:

o Promoting resiliency

o Parenting and child development

o Vocational and career planning

o Budgeting and family planning

o Life skills training for self-sufficiency

o Information and referral on domestic violence issues

o Health care and nutrition

o Connections to local resources

- Knowledge of Teen Life with emphasis on:

o Child development/nurturing

o Pregnancy/parenthood

o Local schools and communities

o Literacy

o CSSP's Strengthening Families resources

o Fatherhood

o County Assistance Office benefits: SNAP, TANF, Family Works, and FW Fatherhood

o Healthcare and nutritional /medical information

- Have knowledge of school districts and social service support systems within the area of assignment

- Provide case management and support by identifying and responding to social, emotional, and physical health needs of participants as requested by the participant in variable dates/hours at sites including school buildings, participant homes, and community sites as appropriate.

- Discuss cases with the Program Specialist for the coordination of services.

- Complete required case management files for each participant as required by ELECT. Each file should be up-to- date and ready for review weekly at a minimum and in best practice daily to ensure best service delivery to students.

- Have relevant activities/lessons prepared for each group meeting.

- Maintain an electronic weekly schedule /calendar in Outlook.

- Possess professional skills needed to work with students, families, in schools and with agencies.

- Participating in continuing education related to teen parents and program topics and staff trainings.

- Willingness to take direction and adapt to change.

- Maintain professional relationship with student/client/family/school district/community and adhere to confidentiality requirements of student and the family support system.

- Complete and submit required forms and paperwork by the designated dates.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. Incumbent must be able to sit at desk for extended periods of time. This role routinely uses standard office equipment with a vast majority of the time utilizing computers to complete daily tasks. . Due to travel outside of the home office, candidates are required to have a vehicle and valid driver's license to attend job related duties, meetings, seminars, and trainings.
